Now We Are Rising (NWAR) is a Swiss non-profit association. Its objective is to value and to make black people and/or people of color (POC) visible on the cultural, social and political levels. The association aims to deconstruct clichés, to propose new narratives, to raise awareness and to promote diversity.
That’s why we join all African and Afrodescendant communities in Switzerland in saying NO to anti-black racism by condemning the racist campaign of the Swiss People’s Party (SVP) / Democratic Union of the Centre (UDC in French).
NWAR has therefore signed the press release issued by the Federation of Associations of Afrodescendants and Blacks of Geneva (FAANG), which you can find here in French. Please read it carefully.
We encourage everyone to express their rejection of a party that promotes division and racism rather than values of solidarity, equality and mutual respect.
